The L226C a 2-way in-ceiling speaker for use in a wide variety of applications, from stereo and whole-house music systems to complete home theaters. The L226C features an aluminum woofer and titanium-laminate tweeter to deliver accurate performance with dramatically reduced distortion for incredibly realistic sound. The L226C also incorporates JBL's proprietary waveguide to ensure smooth distribution of sound throughout the listening area. The tweeter level control allow for optimum high-frequency performance in any room and installation location. The white grilles and frames are paintable and allow the speakers to blend into any decor.
6-1/2" (165mm) aluminum cone for great bass response
The L226C boasts an impressive 6-1/2" (165mm) aluminum cone woofer and gives you deep, room-rocking bass. It may be hard for people to see exactly where the awesome sound is coming from. But they’ll sure hear it and feel it.
Detailed high-frequency sound reproduction
The L226C’s thin but rigid 1-inch (25-millimeter) pure titanium-laminate tweeter delivers accurate, clear, crisp high-frequency response, even when the volume is way up. And it’s a swivel-mount tweeter, giving you the freedom to direct the high frequencies wherever you like.
Sit-anywhere Elliptical Oblate Spheroidal™ (EOS) waveguide sound
Elliptical Oblate Spheroidal™ (EOS) waveguides, originally developed for JBL® Professional LSR studio monitors, disperse the L226C’s clean, high-frequency sound precisely across a wide listening area. There’s no “sweet spot.” Sit wherever you want.
Low profile and easy installation
With its space-saving design – only 4-1/8" (104mm) mounting depth – and a weight of only 3-1/2 pounds (1.6 kilograms), the JBL® L226C speaker gives you maximum installation flexibility. The L226C includes a cutting template and integrated dog-ear brackets for retrofit applications. And rough-in frames are available for new construction.
Paint the white frame and grille to match the ceiling
Both the frame and the grille of the JBL® L226C speaker can be painted to blend into your ceiling. The JBL® L226C is unobtrusive – until you turn it on.
